Lipscomb University’s Faculty & Friends Concert Series presents the Nashville Early Music Ensemble at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30 in Ward Hall.
The ensemble performs Medieval and Renaissance music as well as folk songs from many world cultures. The musicians sing in original languages and perform on period instruments.
The concert is presented in honor of the late Dr. Gerald Moore, founder of the ensemble. Dr. Steve Rhodes will conduct.
The concert “She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not” features love songs and songs of unrequited love with music from Afganistan, Croatia, England, Germany, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Northern Ireland, and Spain as well as music from the Sephardic and Yiddish traditions.
This event is free and open to the public. There will be opportunity to contribute to the Dr. Moore Scholarship Fund in his honor.
